BONO Group publishes its first sustainability report

The 2025 Sustainability Report, published in the spring of 2026, marks a significant step forward in the Group’s sustainable development. The report summarises information on the strategic vision of the Board of BONO Group for the Company’s sustainable development, as well as information on the Company’s targets regarding environmental, social, and governance issues.

The reporting process provides a structured approach to identifying the Company’s impacts in order to create new opportunities and mitigate ESG risks.

Establishing a data collection process, addressing various issues, and documenting policies and processes are deliberate choices made by the Company to improve not only its financial performance and corporate governance but also its impact on the environment and climate, as well as on its own employees and local residents.

“For us, sustainability is a process of change management. We are determined, and armed with patience and perseverance, knowing that every improvement takes time. I am grateful to our team for their ability to identify opportunities for improvement, implement effective practices, and maintain the highest quality standards,” comments Rihards Veide, Chairman of the Board of BONO ENERGY, BONO LOGISTICS and BONO TRADE.

2025 is the first year in which we have calculated the greenhouse gas emissions resulting from our operations in accordance with the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard. We have begun working on reducing emissions and switched to renewable electricity at our Valmiera office in 2025. The calculation of the Company Group’s emissions will serve as a baseline for setting emission reduction targets and developing a climate change transition plan.

BONO Group operates in accordance with the requirements of several internationally recognised certifications — the protection of biodiversity has been a priority for us for several years. 95% of the exported material complies with internationally recognised certification standards. The Group’s management and senior executives have set a goal to increase the number of certified suppliers for SIA BONO Energy and SIA BONO Trade by 5% annually, as well as to work towards obtaining FSC® Forest Management certification.

The Group places great importance on employee well-being and satisfaction, which is why we adopted a more systematic approach to measuring these factors in 2025. We have collected data on employee turnover rates, the average time spent on training, and gender diversity in the Company’s management. In addition, we continue to improve and optimise our occupational safety processes.

In 2025, BONO Group joined the association “CSR Latvia” to promote cooperation and the exchange of best practices among sustainability experts in Latvia. Compliance with certification requirements, customer expectations, and best practices was confirmed in 2025 through 15 different certification and customer audits.

To demonstrate our commitment to transparent and reliable sustainability reporting, a third-party limited assurance review was conducted by Moore Idman, Oy.
